About the Co-Founders
The Ch(K)ristines
Dr. Kristine Medyanik and Dr. Christine Perigen Fonner are a dynamic leadership duo. They are educators, executive coaches, and organizational development experts dedicated to transforming the way people lead, work, and live. Together, they bring decades of combined experience across corporate, non-profit, educational, and entrepreneurial landscapes, with a shared mission to cultivate confident, resilient, caring, and community-minded leaders.
The Evolving Leader Fellowship is developed in partnership between Dr. K Leadership Consulting and Christine Fonner Coaching.
Dr. Kristine Medyanik
serves as faculty with the Hoff School of Business at Corban University, where she equips the next generation of business leaders with the skills, values, and strategic mindset needed to lead in an ever-evolving world. As the founder and owner of Dr. K Leadership Consulting, Kristine partners with professionals and organizations to strengthen leadership effectiveness, develop emotional intelligence, and foster high-performing teams.
Her work bridges the classroom and the boardroom, offering real-world relevance and a deep commitment to personal growth and professional impact. Kristine also serves as a board member for the McLaren Leadership Foundation, where she contributes to the advancement of ethical leadership and civic-minded business practices across the region.
Dr. Christine Perigen-Fonner
is an executive leadership coach and business consultant with over 25 years of leadership experience spanning the non-profit, corporate, and educational sectors. She is the founder of Christine Fonner Coaching, a women’s leadership development and adventure learning institute that helps leaders reconnect with their purpose, embrace challenge, and lead with courage. Christine’s expertise includes strategic planning, capacity building, communication and conflict resolution, and board training. She has been involved in multiple startups and once helped grow a business from $5 million to $500 million in just two years—experience that fuels her strategic acumen and business savvy.
Christine holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, a Master’s in Transformational Leadership and Change Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in K-12 Education (Bilingual/ESL). Her PhD research focused on the impacts of toxic leadership on women in leadership and the critical need for what she calls “radical care” in the workplace—a compassionate and intentional leadership approach that nurtures trust, accountability, and belonging.
What sets The Ch(K)ristines apart is their shared commitment to supporting the development of leaders who are not only high-performing, but deeply self-aware, ethical, and invested in the well-being of their teams and communities. Their work goes beyond skill-building and works to reshape how leaders think, show up, and create impact.
Whether leading retreats, teaching in the classroom, advising clients, or speaking from the stage, Dr. Kristine and Dr. Christine bring humor, candor, and hard-earned wisdom to every room. Their rare combination of academic depth and real-world leadership experience allows them to translate complex ideas into practical, transformative action.Â
Outside of their work, The Ch(K)ristines recharge in the outdoors. Kristine draws inspiration from the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Christine, is a nomadic wanderer that splits her time between visiting clients all over the country and her homes in Colorado, New Mexico, and Ohio. She spends her free time skiing and hiking with her dogs Chewey, Reese, and Buddy, and mountain biking with her husband, Josh.
Together, The Ch(K)ristines represent a bold, modern approach to leadership that challenges outdated models, prioritizes humanity alongside performance, and builds cultures where people and results thrive together in care.
